Therapeutic Approach

Peter draws from several therapeutic modalities, with a strong foundation in psychodynamic and developmental theory. His work centers on helping you understand yourself more fully — distinguishing your authentic core self from the beliefs, expectations, and patterns shaped by your environment.

His goal is to help you reconnect with who you truly are so you can move toward greater fulfillment, clarity, and self‑actualization.

Peter is an active, engaged therapist who offers insight, emotional presence, and thoughtful challenge when it supports your growth.

Professional Experience

Peter has worked across a wide range of clinical settings, building a strong foundation in individual, group, and family therapy.

His background includes:

  • Rush University Medical Center, Psychiatry Department — Spent 14 years providing group and family therapy within the Day Hospital, PHP, and IOP programs

  • Cook County Juvenile Justice System — facilitated family therapy with youth and caregivers in high‑stress, court‑involved situations

  • Northwestern University, Department of Psychology — research experience deepening his understanding of evidence‑based practice

  • Allendale Residential Treatment Center — early experience supporting clients with complex emotional and behavioral needs

Over time, Peter expanded his individual therapy practice and now works exclusively in private practice, offering individual and couples therapy in a virtual format.
